We are a dedicated and motivated team of 43 people, located in Newtown, PA and represent the six brands of our group in the domestic market, providing laboratories with innovative, precise and efficient solutions: Retsch is our specialist in laboratory mills and sieving equipment. Microtrac develops leading solutions for particle characterization. Carbolite supplies high-performance laboratory ovens. Eltra enables precise elemental analysis. QATM takes care of metallographic sample preparation and hardness testing and ERWEKA is our producer of pharmaceutical testing devices. Verder Scientific operates 13 production sites and eleven sales companies worldwide and are part of the German-Dutch technology group Verder, a group of companies with over 2000 employees around the globe. Doing what is fun

Responsibilities:
  • Field customer inquiries via email and phone
  • Provide application consultations to customer for recommended equipment
  • Conduct sales and marketing activities within assigned territory
  • Process test samples provided by customer for proof-of-concept
  • Manage all sales aspects of territory
  • Provide and maintain opportunity and sales pipeline reports
  • Schedule and organize travel into territory for tradeshows and customer demonstrations.
  • Schedule and conduct Webex consultations and training
  • Maintain activity and communication logging in CRM
  • Prepare and provide revenue forecasts for assigned territory
  • Travel and represent company at industry tradeshows and conferences

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Highly preferred candidates with either laboratory bench experience wanting to transition to a sales position, or sales experience and product knowledge for instrumentation in a laboratory setting background in minerals and mining industry will be a Plus!
  • Candidate must be located within driving distance of Headquarters (Newtown, PA)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience utilizing a CRM platform preferred
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Travel is required and is estimated to be 35-40%
