Doing what is fun

The Calibration Technician performs testing and calibration of our flagship product in our manufacturing plant in York, PA, ensuring each product meets Microtrac requirements and our customer’s highest expectations.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine calibration testing per prescribed, documented methods
  • Troubleshoot root cause of out-of-range data values and quickly determine resolution.
  • Collaborate with calibration, assembly, and technical staff to share information and resolve problems quickly
  • Report and document technical issues and their resolution
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Ensure compliance with ESD requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong drive to increase knowledge, perform to expectations, and lead by example
  • Consistent and reliable attendance per company policy
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must be able to diagnose failure modes under production circumstances and conditions
  • Detail orientated with documentation and reporting
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Testing and troubleshooting of electronic equipment
  • Knowledge of ESD principals and procedures
  • Associate’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Technician Certification
  • 2-4 years’ service or technical repair experience at customer location that involves optical, mechanical, electronics or computer skills
